Review: MAC Cleanse Off Oil

Let's talk facial oil...whether it be in the form of a cleansers/makeup remover or moisturiser, they terrified me. I never gave them a second thought. Oil on top of my already oily skin?! No thank you. But of course being all sorts of beauty product addicted MAC's Cleanse Off Oil managed to find it's way into my medicine cabinet one day.

Honestly, the first few times I used this I absolutely hated it. Never having used a cleanse off oil before I found the whole experience quite strange and not in a good way. So I stashed it away and considered it a "product fail". Then again, my curiosity got the better of me and decided to give it another go. This time however, I didn't mix it with water and just slapped it on to a dry makeup covered face...and low and behold, I'm a convert. When mixed with water it turns into this white lotion type consistency which I wasn't a fan of, but without water it melts every trace of makeup away leaving your face fresh and clean. It rinses off relatively easy and it doesn't break me out, I couldn't really ask for more.

I really like this cleanse off oil but at $30 for 150ml/ 5.0 fl.oz. I think it's a bit pricey, especially at the rate I'm going through it. This can be purchased at MAC counters, pro stores or online.

This has opened my eyes to the world of oils and now I have my eye on a couple of others (*ahem* Shu Uemura & Boscia).

What are your thoughts on facial oils?
