Review: IT Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Volume I

Top Row: Left to Right
Bottom Row: Left to Right

I'm going to start off by saying that I don't even know how this one happened...I had no intention of buying this palette because for some reason it just never really caught my eye, but low and behold I have it now and I am so glad.

It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Vol. 1 Matte Luxe Transforming Eyeshadow Palette (one hell of a mouth full) is unlike any other palette I own. The packaging is sturdy and plush with a decent size mirror and I also like how it's rather streamline and easy for travel. This is filled with 14 neutral(isn) matte eyeshadows and one large "transforming pearl" shade, which in all honesty is a shimmery champagne. I think the reason why I wasn't initially drawn to this palette was because it was in fact all matte...what can I say, I really like my shimmer? However, these shadows are like butter...they feel so creamy and smooth, not the least bit powdery. They are all very pigmented, blend effortlessly and last all day.

The interesting bit about this palette is that you have the option to either wear the shadows matte (they come off more as a satiny matte) or you can layer the transforming pearl shade, which is supposed to "transform" the shadows into a pearl finish. Now, I prefer using the shadows as is because I think the transforming pearl shade takes away from the intensity of the colours when placed on top. However, I do like using the transforming pearl on the inner corner of the eye as well as on the brow bone for some highlighting.

Also, be aware that I swatched these onto a white piece of paper because I could not for the life of me swatch them on my arm and take a picture at the same time, so of course the colours will look different (better) on actual skin.

You can buy Naturally Pretty Vol. 1 Matte Luxe Transforming Eyeshadow Palette at Ulta stores or Ulta.com and at Itcosmetics.com for $42

I haven't really tried much from It Cosmetics but if everything is as amazing as this palette...I'm sold.

What are your thoughts? Love it? Hate it?
