Off to the Beach: Bobbi Brown

I don't know what it is that makes the smell of sunscreen so nostalgic for me. Maybe it's because I grew up in Southern California, or maybe it reminds me of summers at the beach slathered in sunscreen as a kid or maybe this scent brings me back to last summer spent in Greece. Whatever it is all I know is that words can not even begin to describe my love for Bobbi Brown's Beach line.

Beach Eau De Parfum is $70 for 1.7fl.oz./50ml. As I mentioned above this smells like sunscreen but in an amazing perfume form...if that makes sense. To me for the amount you get this perfume is on the expensive side. As much as I love this perfume my biggest problem with this is that it does not last. This is a perfume that needs to be reapplied multiple times throughout the day. At first I wasn't going to repurchase it for that main reason, but as I near the end of my bottle I really don't want to be without it. If you don't want to carry around a whole bottle of perfume I suggest investing in a Travelo, they are genius and convenient.

Beach Body Lotion is $36 for 6.7oz./200ml. As the name suggests, all of these products smell exactly like the perfume. I really don't like the feel of thick lotions that don't sink into the skin. This one is perfect because it's light and absorbs quickly. It takes a bit more to cover your whole body, but I guess that's the nature of lighter lotions.

Beach Shower Gel is 6.7fl.oz/200ml. The moment you open the cap of this bottle and the scent mixes with the steam from the shower...*sigh* heaven. It really does make the showering experience a mini vacation in itself.

Beach Body Scrub is $36 for 7.6oz./200ml. The main reason I like this scrub is that it is not a sugar exfoliator, so the exfoliating beads don't automatically dissolve once they come into contact with water. You can sit there and scrub away until your heart's content and the beads will still be there. This leaves your skin baby smooth, moisturised and ready for summer.

There is another product from the line that I don't have, the Beach Body Oil, but come summertime that one has my name written all over it. This line can be purchased at, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales and wherever else Bobbi Brown is sold.

I know it's only spring, but hey...summer time dreaming I suppose =]

Are there any fragrances that get you ready for summer?
