OOTD: Zara, Target & Brunch

Over the weekend I went to brunch and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to do an OOTD and FOTD kind of let the rambling begin....

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Zara. A few years back I went through a phase where I hoarded literally everything Zara came out with (especially their shoes) and then the past year or so I just lost interest. Well...the love and hoarding has come back full force and with a vengeance.

I first saw this coat on Laura from buynow/bloglater and stalked it on the website for two weeks before I bit the bullet and bought it. I'm so glad I did. It's the perfect mint green and it's made of light material, so it's great for spring. Also, if you haven't read Laura's blog...go right now. Her taste in everything is top notch and she is the epitome of class. You can find the coat here.

Moving on to the dress. I bought this from Target a few months back and it was an absolute steal. It's made of that slightly stretchy scuba material, so it's really comfortable and it has a cute flower imprint all over it.

The shoes are yet another Zara purchase. I love them. I'm not one of those girls that have heels glued to their feet 24/7 and I'll only wear them if I know I'll be sitting (majority of the time) wherever I go, but these are easy to walk in and are as comfortable as heels can get...I even wore them shopping. You can find the shoes here.

I've had this Tory Burch bag for about 2 years now and it's really the only bag I use. It looks massive in the photo but it is the perfect size. Not too big to the point of breaking your back but not too small that it won't hold anything. You can find the bag here.

Onto the face...

I primed the face with Hourglass Mineral Veil, which is great for oily skinned gals, and The Balm Put A Lid On It on the eyes, it's similar to the Urban Decay and the Too Faced primers. I'm still on the search for an eyeshadow primer that will keep me crease proof because nothing has been able to hold up on my lids.

Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation is still going strong and I'm loving it even more now that I'm using the Beauty Blender sponge. I could get rid of all my foundation brushes and be perfectly content with only using this sponge for the rest of my's that good. I then followed up with Makeup Forever Full Cover concealer on any spots and NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer under the eyes. Both are great concealers and I highly recommend them.

I set everything with Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light. I'm still on the fence with this powder and I don't really understand the hype. It does have a slight blurring effect but I can see tiny glitter particles when I get really close to the mirror which I'm not to keen on. However, I do like Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder under the eyes. This bottomless jar has lasted me ages and I don't think it's running out any time soon.

I used NARS Laguna Bronzer to warm up the face. As you can see this is well loved and I think I've gone through about two of to say it's my go-to. I like it because it's not glittery but it's not matte just adds such a nice glow to the skin. The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure has been on my cheeks all month. If you're having a hard time deciding which colour blush from the line I recommend you start with this colour.

Urban Decay Naked Palette is a great staple and it's well loved by many. If you haven't seen this and you're partial to neutral eyeshadows check this one out because it can go from everyday natural to evening easily. Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal eyeliner in the inner rim. I wouldn't really call this waterproof...but it has decent staying power and does the job. If long, voluminous and curled eyelashes are what you're after try the Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara. It's amazing. period.

And lastly my go to Anasastia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo in medium brown for the brows.

Phew...and I think that about wraps things up!

Have you guys been loving Zara as much as I have lately? I cannot wait for the new store to open near me...sorry wallet.
