Bareminerals Rave

I don't know about you but I could not be bothered to use any type of loose eyeshadow/pigment...makeup klutz + messy pigments = disaster waiting to happen, which is why I never used bareMinerals products. Well they came out with a Ready line (pressed eyeshadows, blush, bronzer and foundation) and I've finally got around to trying a few.

Onto the eyeshadow palettes...

First is The Comfort Zone palette...I know what you're thinking "...what the heck is the point of this?!" I realise that this is filled with four light neutrals that you can't exactly make a complete look with. That's not the point of this though. It's meant to be your base shades for any look you want to create and really helps in the blending department. Basically, this is my "I just got 8 hours of sleep" palette...it brightens and widens your eyes like no ones business. You get a light pink, light golden yellow, light peach and a light grey. You can get this either at Bareesceuntals.com or QVC.com.

(L-R) Aaah, Solace, Enjoy, Tranquil

This duo I've had my eye on for quite some time. The Top Shelf palette is one of those grab and go type of products that gives your eyes a bit of a glow. The two colours go absolutely perfect together and I don't really find that I need to grab for other colours.

(L-R) Mixologist, Cognac

Lastly, The Nude Beach palette. This was such an impulse buy and I probably could have done without it. The colours aren't extraordinarily different from each other, but being the neutral fiend that I am, I do like and will use it. Since the colours are all pretty similar in depth I think you would need to use other colours from your collection to get a look with some dimension, but if you want one and done washes of colour this would be a good one to take a look at.

Top row (L-R) Tan Lines, Nude Beach, Bare Skin, Pure

Bottom row (L-R) In The Buff, Natural, Santorini, Skinny Dip

To wrap things up the quality of bareMinerals eyeshadows are really top-notch. They are buttery, smooth and pigmented. The colour combinations are so wearable and I would buy others in the collection. I definitely recommend if your in market for some great neutrals.

What's your experience with their Ready eyeshadow line? Do you have any favourites or recommendations?
