Review: Benefit They're real! push-up liner

What can I say I'm a sucker for overly hyped products....guilty. Not only did I buy the eyeliner I bought the eyeliner remover too! *hangs head*

Oh well...let's move onto the goods...

Benefit They're Really! Push-Up Liner...never have I ever had such low expectations for a product...I was expecting this to be absolutely horrible and just an over all gimmick, but you know what? I kind of sort of really love it. I'll admit it is a bit tricky to get the hang of at first but by the second time around it's easy peasy. The little slanted nib is extremely flexible and I think that's what makes this so simple to use...you quite literally stamp where you want your eyeliner flick to be and then you drag inward toward the eye. Done and done. I'm no eyeliner expert but this makes even my cat eyes look impressive...and that's quite a feat if you ask me (I'm that bad).

For me this had great lasting power throughout the day but...and there is a but...if I don't prep my eyelids before with primer and a bit of powder this will smear and smudge pretty badly. Oil is the key to removing this...so extremely oily lid gals be aware. However, I think I have some of the most oily lids around so just do the prep work beforehand and you're fine.

Shock horror...I have a flick!

Which brings me onto the They're Real! Remover...honestly, the eyeliner isn't hard to remove if you have an oil based cleanser so I don't think this isn't necessary at all. It can remove makeup and it doesn't sting my eyes but for the actual amount you have to use to get the job done this is kind of ridiculously priced.

So all in all, I really like the liner and I would repurchase. I think if you're already comfortable with gel liner then you could easily skip it...but for people like me it makes things simpler. The remover you can pass on.

What do you think about this? What was the last hyped up product you were suckered into?
