Sundays & Everything In Between #2

Happy sunday everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend and recovering from all the 4th of July festivities (if you celebrated like I did haha)...as for me it was spent with family, friends and of course lots and lots of food.

I've never been one to wrap myself in American flags as soon as the 4th of July rolls around but I did want to be at least a little festive so this is what I opted for. A flowy blue and white top from Zara...I don't see it on the website anymore but you might still be able to catch it on sale in the store. I paired that with ridiculously short shorts from PAIGE that took me about 7 months to gather up enough courage just to wear them.

Note to self: do not wear this shirt on a windy day...what's supposed to be a subtle slit in the back of the shirt turns into free for all mid drift bearing top. Things got a bit awkward trying to control it.

I decided to keep the makeup very simple. Laura Mercier Mineral Powder buff into the skin and NARS Radiant Creamy concealer under the eyes. Jouer peony blush on the cheeks. I made a small wing with Benefit They're Real Push Up Gel Liner and then a mixture of Soft Ocre paint pot and Urban Decay Naked Basics eyeshadows on the lid. For the lips I kept it even simpler with Maybelline's Baby Lips in cherry.

Now I'm not usually one for ribs and I'm generally really particular with any type of meat I eat, but oh my goodness I am convinced that no one, no one, makes better ribs than my mother...seriously, her cooking is an art form.

There is nothing better than Pho for a day after recovering...this place is the best Pho I've had in California.

These are a few makeup bits I picked up over the past week. The NARS duo in Isolde and MAC Patisserie lipstick...you need in your life.

And lastly, I couldn't resist picking something up from the Zara sale. I love the origami style of this skirt with the zipper detailing. I think the material and colour of the skirt make this an easy skirt to wear through out the year. Pair it with black tights and some boots in the winter or sandals and bare legs in the spring/summer. I did also pick up a gorgeous green dress but that's coming in the post.

Well, that wraps it up for now until tomorrow =]
