A Haul of Sorts

Another haul...another day. I feel as if another "makeup no buy" is in order very very soon...but in my defence I live far too close to a Sephora, CVS and a Walgreens. My will power doesn't even stand a chance *hangs head*.

Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot Box O'Blushes: I knew I was going to want this blush set right when I saw it online and at $36 for six blushes/bronzer and a cream highlighter who can say no? Obviously, not me. Packaging is cute but tacky...comes in a clunky tin more suited for a 12-year-old, but I've never really been a fan of Benefit's packaging to begin with. I'll know more about the actual product once I've tested it out a bit.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Palette: well, we all know it was only a matter of time before I caved in to this neutral palette. I actually exchanged the Vice 3 palette for this and I'm SO happy I did (I just couldn't handle the powdery mess of the Vice 3...I tried). I've been using it every day since I bought it and it's already love.

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner: I've used this about 7 times and....it's awful. It drags, skips and it's impossible to draw a wing with it because it's so dry. I am really disappointed because it has such glowing reviews and it's just terrible. Maybe I got a dud? Who knows...but at $18 I'm not repurchasing to find out. First thing I've ever bought from Kat Von D's line and it will probably be the last...I'm annoyed, can you tell?

Beauty Blender Blender Cleanser Solid: Sheesh, say that one 5 times fast. If you have the beauty blender this is a necessity. Removes any stains and rinses out easy. Highly recommend.

BECCA Eyeshadow Quad in Sun Chaser and Galactica: I ordered these off Hautelook ages ago and they just came in the post. This was an impulse buy and now I don't really know why I bought them. Quality is lovely but I think I'm going to give them to my mom because I know she will love them.

Fresh Sugar Lip Serum Advanced Therapy & Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment: because apparently I can't buy one without the other. I'm thinking of doing a "before and after" 30 day trial with these two...what do you think?

Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick in 107: I have a feeling I'm going to get a lot of use out of this burgundy shade and it will be perfect for the colder months ahead.

Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer in Stellar: a.k.a Apocalips Lip Lacquer...that's odd I've never realised that here in the states they have a different name. I know I know, late to the party with this one but I've only recently been comfortable with bright lips, so these are just now appealing to me. I understand why everyone has gone about these because they pretty damn fantastic.

Well that about wraps it up! Nothing like some good retail therapy if you ask me...what's on your shopping list?

  1. I'm sitting next to you, and your annoyance regarding the Kat Von D liner is quite apparent. Regardless, lovely post! I might have to try one of those eggs eventually...

  2. Ohh nooo! I cant believe your thoughts on Tattoo Liner. You must have a dud because I think it is the best liner I have ever used. Like I am sounding dramatic and all but seriously I think its fantastic. I have been using mine daily for almost 2 months and its still not dried out the slightest. And Im picky with liners.

Such a bummer yours sucks. I can feel your pain! x
