September Favourites

I know I'm a bit late with the favourites, but as the saying goes better late than never...right? For some reason I didn't have too many things that blew me away this month. Actually, now that I think about it, I was disappointed with more products than I had favourites.

First up, let's talk hairspray. When my hair was longer I never bothered with hairspray, but now that my hair is shorter and I style it more often I find myself using it regularly. For some reason I had it in my head that higher end hairspray would out due the drugstore options, so that's what I always ended up purchasing. Ah what a fool I've been! Tresemmé's Extra Firm Control 4 hairspray is absolutely fantastic. You get a giant bottle, it's cheap as chips and it smells lovely....and it holds. Never again will I buy expensive hairspray.

I must be in the very tiny minority of preferring high end mascaras to drugstore. I can name you about 10 high end mascaras that I love and would repurchase but when it comes to drugstore...not so much. However, Covergirl's Clump Crusher is a tried and true for me. It layers well, doesn't clump (as the name would suggest) and no smudging or flaking to be seen.

This might be TMI but I've had eczema like dry patches all over; arms, stomach, back you name it. First Aid Beauty's Ultra Repair Cream has done absolute wonders for basically cleared all of my little dry patches up within two days. This is a tiny little sample but I would definitely purchase the large tub of this.

MAC's Ground Work Paint Pot is an old favourite and I've rediscovered my love for it this month. It's such an easy slap on and go colour that adds just the right amount of definition to the eyes.

When the Milani Bella Eyeshadows came out I didn't hear all that much about them, which is probably why I didn't pick them up until recently. I picked up four of them and oh my goodness guys...I freakin' love them. They.are.fantastic. They're effortless to use and the four that I picked out really brighten and perk up the eye. Maybe I'll do a blog post because I just love them. The one in this photo is 16 Bella Champagne.

Last but not least, my Kindle Paperwhite...I absolutely adore this. I got this maybe two Christmases ago and it really one of my most used gadgets, apart from my computer. No don't get me wrong, I love actual books and I still purchase them but having my favourites and being able to carry multiple books with you at one time is so convenient. If you're a regular reader and you've been debating I cannot recommend it more. You won't regret it.

What were some of your favourites of the month? I'm really looking forward to wearing deeper lip colours...bring on the colder weather! As always thanks for taking the time too read and I'll see you soon!

  1. Lovely post as always! I have the same mascara! If I had a time machine, I would go read that little blurb about your Kindle to your past self who called me a "betrayer" for having one. :-P SEE YOU SOON!!
