April Favourites & Fails 2016

Another month, another favourites...and a fail.

I feel as if I've been pushing this Laura Geller bronzer to anyone who'll listen. I think there are several shades available but I'm specifically talking about Tahitian Glow.

First of all, this bronzer is massive and the packaging is slightly bulky, but I can get over that because the actual product is so fantastic. Second, If you're looking for a matte bronzer look somewhere else. This gives so much glow and looks so natural I can't even describe it. No glitter (which by now, we all know I hate) just gorgeous sheen.

I recommended this to my mom and the first time she wore it she texted me saying that everyone had been telling her that her skin looked radiant and glowing. It's that good.

NARS Laguna has always been my favourite bronzer but I'm pretty sure this has taken it spot.

Sorry, I know there's a lot of Burberry going on here but what can you do.

I picked the eye palette and the face powder up in the VIB sale and I've been using them everyday since.

I know the eyeshadow quad in Mocha No. 22 looks as basic as a PSL but it's absolutely perfect for everyday. The shades melt and blend together beautifully, basically fool proof. All except the lightest shade have a slight sheen to them but you can still get a lot of definition out of the shade when used all together.

The Fresh Glow Compact-Luminous Foundation does exactly what it says on the tin. It's not powdery or cakey and gives a nice natural luminosity to the face. I have the shade Ochre Nude No. 12 and I find that it works well with my NC25-27 skin tone. I haven't used it purely on it's own but I love it on top of a tinted moisturiser.

Summer 2016 London With Love Blush Highlighter was the surprise of all surprises. If you're on the fence I would suggest picking it up before it's gone. This has a translucency quality to it that makes it seem as if your cheeks are naturally that radiant.

The Kate Somerville ExfoliKate is nothing new but it's deserving of all the hype around it. The results are pretty much immediate. Exfoliated, smooth, and bright looking skin at the end of it all.

I used to be all about the Batiste dry shampoo in Dark Brown but the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo has changed the dry shampoo game for me. I don't know about you but whenever I use dry shampoo I still have to wear my hair up because I can't stand feeling it in my hair but this I can get several days wear out of my hair and still wear it down. It smells great, absorbs and doesn't leave a white cast (and I have dark hair), and gives volume.

And last and certainly the least is the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Radiant Touch in 1.5. I don't understand the crazy hype around this product because it's thick and sits really obviously on the skin. Not a fan, save your pennies and go with the drugstore dupes that are out there.

Thanks for reading as always, I really appreciate it. I'm really excited to have a lot more time to blog, so I'm hoping to have more than a post a week up. Have you tried any of these? What have been your favourites from this month? Hope you're having a great weekend.

  1. I've actually had Mocha on my to-buy list for a long time now! It seems like such a great quad. Burberry seriously has some great things out at the moment, so in love with that London With Love compact!
